American folk music. Hosted by John Fabke, "I try to explore the very wide variety of music that is considered 'folk' from the very traditional to what's current." Show features many aspects and styles of American folk music with a focus on roots. Styles such as blues, bluegrass, cajun, old time country, etc. Also features some current releases of contemperary musicians. Live performers also appear on "Pastures" about once a month.
Show also features Dave Fallow, "radio naturalist," with weekly bird reports. Update on recent sightings of birds in Dane and surrounding counties (plus butterflies, in season); announcement of upcoming guided field trips.
